WHAT A SESSION INCLUDES
Three modalities. One integrated treatment.
Depending on your presentation and needs, Emily draws from acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal medicine — often in combination — to create a treatment that addresses both your immediate symptoms and the underlying patterns driving them.
Modality 01
Acupuncture
Fine needles placed at specific points along the body's meridian pathways to restore the free flow of qi — the vital energy that governs how we feel, function, and heal. Each session is uniquely composed based on your presenting pattern and constitution. No two treatments are ever the same.
Foundation of every session
Modality 02
Moxibustion
The therapeutic burning of dried mugwort over specific acupuncture points produces a deep, penetrating warmth that stimulates the movement of qi and blood through the meridians. Moxa is often integrated into treatments to amplify the work of the needles — particularly for conditions involving cold, deficiency, or stagnation.
Integrated as appropriate
Modality 03
Herbal medicine
Chinese herbal medicine draws from a pharmacopeia of hundreds of plants, minerals, and botanicals — combined into patient-specific formulas that extend the work of your acupuncture treatment between sessions. Formulas are designed to address both branch symptoms in the near term and root-cause patterns over time.
Prescribed where appropriate
